To get to Staniel Cay, you can either fly in from Nassau (Bahamas) via Flamingo Air or Titan Air or fly in from Ft. Lauderdale (Florida, US) via Makers Air or Staniel Air. Flamingo Air, Titan Air and Maker’s Air have flights twice daily.
It is deceptively difficult (and expensive) to get to Staniel Cay from Georgetown. Though we are both technically in the Exuma district, there are no daily flights or other form of transportation between the two islands. The only option is to charter a flight or catch a ride on a tour boat from Exuma.
There are only a few restaurants on the island, but they’re delicious! The Staniel Cay Yacht Club serves breakfast, or you can check Big Dogs Bar & Grill for Carol’s daily special. For lunch and dinner, you have a choice of the Taste & Sea Café or the Staniel Cay Yacht Club. If you’re interested in eating at the Taste & Sea Café for lunch, be sure to place your order by 11:00 AM as the food tends to sell out quickly. For dinner you can order at 6:00 PM or dine in until 8:00 PM and expect a wait of 45 minutes-1 hour. It’s open Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, and we definitely recommend it—it’s local and DELICIOUS!
We will also be opening a restaurant at EMBRACE Resort in 2020, so keep an eye out for authentically Bahamian dishes with an upscale twist!
Credit cards are accepted across the island, but there is an additional charge of 5%. For this reason, we recommend bringing cash. Please note as well that there are no ATMs in Staniel Cay. 3N’s accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express (AMEX).
Yes! We provide airport transfers for all of our guests. Just send us your flight details before you arrive.
Staniel Cay is about 2 miles long and half a mile wide with a population of a little over 100 residents. Our quaint island is a close-knit community where everyone knows each other, and we’re always excited to have new visitors. Come stay with us—we’re all really friendly and happy to meet you!
Because the island is so small, golf carts are the best way to get around. There are gravel and tar roads all across Staniel Cay, so it’s easy to get from one place to another. If you’re looking at renting a golf cart, let us know! We recommend reserving one in advance, as they do tend to sell out.
Yes, we have three grocery stores on Staniel Cay. The closest one to us is the Isles General Store, which is only a 5-minute walk from the EMBRACE Resort and is right across from the airport. The other two stores in the area are the Pink Store and the Blue Store, owned by two brothers and located side by side in the central area of Staniel Cay. If you’re planning on doing a lot of cooking while you’re here, check out our provisioning service! We’ll do the grocery shopping for you in Nassau and have everything set up in your accommodation when you arrive.
It depends on what you’re looking for! Our peak times are Christmas, New Years, Spring Break, the 4th of July, Bahamian Independence Day, and the first week in August. The months of June and July are our high season and therefore the most busy. Low season is usually mid-August to mid-November, so this is the time to visit if you want to avoid the crowds. Those wanting to sunbathe, though, should keep in mind that this is our rainy season.
Sure! We can help you find flights to Staniel Cay from anywhere in the world. Just send us the airport you’ll be departing from and the dates you’re interested in visiting, and we’ll get the best available quote for you.

Some of our vacation home rentals, such as Beach Cottage and Shell, are beachfront homes. Although luxurious, the EMBRACE Resort is not beachfront but is instead located near the airport. For this reason, we try to make up for it by providing personalized service to our guests as well as having a pool and Jacuzzi available. And since the island is less than 2 sq mi. in area, none of the beaches are very far away!
